2. Coaching: Raising Performance to the Next Level

 

This workshop highlights the Philippine government’s vision outlined in the 2011-2016 Medium-Term Philippine Development Plan to achieve a “globally-competitive and innovative industry and services sector that contributes significantly to inclusive growth and employment generation.” All government leaders are compelled to address the imperative to act as drivers of their respective organizations, steering its human capital as key resources and talents in advancing the organization along the path it wants to travel.

 

Coaching is recognized and used as a leadership and management tool nowadays to drive, improve and heighten employee performance and supplement the management function of planning, organizing, leading and controlling in helping organizations go from where they are to where they want to be. 4. Essentials of Managing Change and Employee Transition (Previously Change Leadership)

This two (2)-day course is a provocative and challenging experience which motivates executives to explore, manage and to channel the constant stream of changes in today’s complex world. Thinking Out-of-the-Box: Embracing Innovative Leadership aims to help participants understand and appreciate the need for a mindset of creativity and innovation and apply this on actual workplace challenges. The workshop enables the participant to:  (1) understand the basics of creativity and innovation and the link between the two; (2) have the opportunity to experience how creativity and Innovation is done using proven frameworks; (3) learn about the mechanism to continuously apply the creativity and innovation frameworks in the workplace through identification of REAPS and SAPs.

7. Effective Conflict Resolution and Solving Employee Performance Issues thru Mediation (Previously Mediation: An Alternative Mode to Dispute and Conflict Resolution and Resolving Employee Performance Problems)

 

In this program, the participants learn the basics and conflict management. They will understand concepts and models in mediation as an effective vehicle for conflict and dispute resolution. They will be able to identify options, and differentiate interests from positions, and understand how to generate variable options, generate relevant criteria and choose viable alternatives as essential components in the mediation process. 8.                  Performance and Results Management

 

This is a course which provides executives the opportunity to master the skills of managing employee, team and organizational performance focusing on goal-setting, evaluation, monitoring and improvement coaching to lay the groundwork for a results-focused work culture.   This program covers the skill areas of crafting behavioural goals, selecting predictive metrics of performance, and of motivating people to produce consistent results.

9.   Achieving a Positive Turn-around in Employee and Organizational Performance (Previously Positive Discipline)

 

Workshop Course on Positive Discipline is designed to change the traditional paradigm of employee discipline which works in the context of a system of sanctions and punishments. This course provides positive and viable alternative measures that motivate employees not only to correct their errant behavior but also to comply with the overall and acceptable standards of employee work attitude and productivity. The workshop further enables and allows the employees to study themselves and accept/recognize their errant behavior in the workplace; provides the employees the needed support mechanisms to correct their errant behavior through positive reinforcement tools and techniques coming from the supervisors and peers, and; motivates the employees not only to correct a particular errant behavior but also to strive to improve their overall productivity.

13.             Transformational Leadership

 

The Workshop Course on Transformational Leadership compels and enables participants to ponder on their experiences as leaders and assess how they are able to perform their roles effectively. This allows the facilitator to assess the level of leadership exercised by the participants, such as who has leadership experience and otherwise, and therefore, provides for adopting appropriate leadership approaches. 2.   Professional Directors Program

 

This is the flagship of the Institute of Corporate Directors.  The program is filled with key lessons on the application of principles of corporate governance and real-life case studies facilitated by a faculty of internationally-recognized for their expertise. 3.   Strategy Executive Pathway (StEP) Essentials

 

This is a two-day comprehensive program that equips participants by: (1) imparting information on the key elements of strategy design; and (2) developing basic skills that will help them in the process of creating strategy maps and balanced scorecards for their organizations with the goal of using these instruments as building blocks for developing a governance culture. At the end of the course, the participants would gain: (1) strong fundamentals of strategy creation and execution; (2) in-depth understandings of the strategy map and balanced scorecard process; (3) and techniques for setting the right strategic direction along with measurement tools for performance management. 4.   Strategy Executive Pathway (StEP) Masters

 

This is a two-day development workshop aimed to capacitate the participants on what to do next after the strategy is designed. It focuses on the tools of execution for consistent and sustained performance.  The takeaways from the workshop will enable the organization to embed a culture of execution in their organization. It moves from strategy design to strategy execution and such is mobilized by the three main ingredients – alignment, discipline and engagement. At the end of the course, the participants will have: (1) strong fundamentals of strategy creation and execution; (2) develop techniques for creating scorecard infrastructure cascading the strategy down to the lower units; (3) learn from best practices in aligning the strategy execution to different business processes; (4) build the discipline of monitoring, reporting and learning from strategy execution; and (5) appreciate the importance of engaging the different stakeholders that is crucial to performance success.  This will benefit executive teams, senior managers, planning officers, corporate controllers and compliance officers (GOCCs). This focuses on the fundamental concepts of the Performance Governance System (PGS) such as strategy design and execution, and on the functions and responsibilities of a critical governance mechanism – the Office of Strategy Management (OSM).
