In celebration of its 44th Founding Anniversary in 2017, the CESB, in partnership with NUCESO, is convening the 7th Annual CES Thought Leaders’ Congress (TLC) with the theme: “Resilient Governance: Leading Strong with a Heart” from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on 31 May 2017 (Wednesday) at the Diamond Hotel, Roxas Boulevard corner Dr. J. Quintos Street, Manila.

The TLC showcases distinguished thought leaders, public service icons, intellectual luminaries, and other movers from various disciplines and professions. It serves as a venue for championing diverse perspectives, cutting-edge innovations, “out-of-the-box” ideas, and life-changing experiences of extra-ordinary leaders who have confronted and triumphed over challenges, issues and imperatives in leadership, governance and development. As an instructive, meaningful and inspiring learning experience, the TLC deepens appreciation of, contributions and commitment to re-inventing, leading and institutionalizing strategic and cutting-edge reforms in governance and development in the public sector.

This year’s TLC features exemplary public managers who will share how and why they discovered, mastered and embraced principle-based resilient leadership forged out of struggles against tremendous adversities, crises and challenges in their lives.

Former Senator, Vice-President, President and incumbent Manila City Mayor Joseph Ejercito Estrada keynotes this milestone learning event. CESB Exec. Dir. Maria Anthonette V. Allones levels off perspectives with the conceptual framework for principled and resilient leadership. A powerhouse cast of resilient leaders engages everyone in strategic conversations. They include: 1) Department of Science and Technology Usec. Brenda L. Nazareth-Manzano (2012 Gawad CES Laureate); 2) Philippine Children’s Medical Center Exec. Dir. Julius A. Lecciones (2011 Gawad CES Laureate), and; 3) Mr. Ronnel A. Del Rio (visually-impaired broadcast journalist, community organizer, PWD champion, first successful graduate of De La Salle University’s masteral course in Management Technology, and first successful passer of the CES Written Examination).

Listen to their life-stories, walk their paths, and feel their passions as they pursue their mission to instill hope, inspire the heart, and set the benchmark for principled and resilient leadership among Filipino public servants as exemplars of transformational, service-focused and innovation-driven leadership.
