CESB conducts 2016 Year-End Assessment and 2017 Corporate Planning in the City of Pines

31 January 2017

The Career Executive Service Board (CESB) held its 2016 Year-End Assessment and 2017 Corporate Planning at the Le Monet Hotel, Camp John Hay, Baguio City from January 16 to 18, 2017.

An evaluation of the CESB’s Performance Accomplishments and Budget Utilization Report in FY 2016 was thoroughly discussed during the first session of the two-day workshop.

The crafting of the Human Resource Development (HRD) Plan through Competency-based Employee Assessment was one of the highlights of the event. The discussion was set to identify and reduce, if not eliminate, the core and functional competency gaps of each employee, which will be used as basis for the HRD Plan for FY 2017.

The CESB Secretariat, with the guidance of Executive Director Allones, likewise conceived the thematic concept for CESB’s 2017 leadership development sessions. Entitled “GOVergence: Catalyzing Positive Change”, the theme summarizes how convergence among paragons in the government promotes synergism amidst diversity not only within but also beyond the CES community to create lasting positive change.

These were the words of CESB Executive Director Maria Anthonette Velasco-Allones, CESO I, who reminded everyone that workplace diversity is advantageous because when different minds work for a single goal, they come up with more innovative ideas.
