Retired associate justice of the Court of Appeals. Served as deputy court administrator of the Supreme Court and a presiding judge of the Regional Trial Court. Also served as director of PNOC Shipping and Transport Corporation. He finished his law degree from the University of Sto. Tomas in 1954 and passed the bar in the same year.

Tomas (UST). Formerly a Professor on courses in banking, finance, management, economics, computer programming, marketing, advertising at UST College of Commerce. Served as Editor-In-Chief of The GSIS Info-Sheet from 1997 to 2001.

Chairperson of the Civil Service Commission, he served as Cabinet Secretary of the Arroyo Administration from 2002 until his appointment as CSC Chair. He was the Senior Business Editor of Asiaweek Magazine from 1989 to 1995 and Assistant Managing Editor from 1996 up to 2001. In 1995, he became an Asia Affairs Commentator for CNN and CNBC until 2001. He graduated cum laude from the Ateneo de Manila University with a degree of Bachelor of Arts in Literature. He completed courses for the Master of Public Policy and Management from the University of london. In 2001, he was honored as outstanding alumnus from the Asian Institute of Journalism. An artist in his own right, he was written plays one of which is the Silent Soprano.

She is presently the head of the Social Policy Office of the Presidential Management Staff (PMS). She is a career civil servant who rose from the ranks starting as Technical Staff for the PMS in 1979. She was conferred her Career Executive Service Officer rank IV in 2003 and has been a long-time ‘CES Coordinator’ for the PMS. She is a full-blooded iskolar ng bayan having been educated at the University of the Philippines from elementary school to her finishing a postgraduate degree in Public Administration.
